My first experience of living in the Sergeants mess having just reached the age limit as a Cadet WO.
There was a small museum in one of the hangars containing 2 x Avro 707s and the only Short SB5. Chipmunks for cadet flying and JPs for training plus an Army Air Corps Squadron and the ‘Airman Aircrew Training School’ with Varsities.
