also from Barry is this photo of a de Havilland Vampire from 1967 used by the Civil Anti Aircraft Co-operation Unit. These aircraft were used all round the region. They visited Hurn and some were used by the Fighter Control School at RAF Sopley to train Fighter Controllers.
