A station with distinguished history, especially in relation to airship operations

RNAS and RAF Pulham

It has a civil aviation role too, in that Pulham was, with Lympne,  one of two  manned direction finding stations working with the master D/F station at Croydon to provide fixes to traffic in SE England. Those of us who remember the venerable Shell film unit documentary of a day in the life of Croydon aerodrome may recall Pulham featuring in this role.
